Experienced Neurologist Opens Practice in West Grove
West Grove, PA – Joseph S. Handler, M.D., an experienced neurologist, has opened Jennersville Neurology and Center for Memory and Balance, a specialty practice serving patients in southern Chester County and the surrounding communities.
Having previously practiced in Norfolk, VA, and, most recently in Newark, DE, Dr. Handler brings a wealth of experience to patients and their referring physicians in southeastern Pennsylvania. Dr. Handler is dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of neurologic disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parksinson’s disease, epilepsy, headache disorders including migraine and cluster headaches, sleep disorders, cerebral palsy, Lou Gehrig’s disease and stroke.
Dr. Handler, board certified in Neurology and fellowship trained in epilepsy and EEG interpretation, is now a member of the Medical Staff at Jennersville Regional Hospital. After receiving his medical degree from the Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Dr. Handler completed an internal medicine internship at the Christiana Care Health System in Newark, DE and a neurology residency at Boston University. He completed fellowship training in electroencephalography (EEG) and epilepsy at the University of North Carolina.
Dr. Handlers’s philosophy of care emphasizes education and patient participation.
“Every person is different in how they react to illness. I want to make sure that my patients understand their condition and are comfortable with me and any treatment decisions,” explains Dr. Handler.
Dr. Handler is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the Epilepsy Foundation of America. He is now accepting new patients at his office located on the campus of Jennersville Regional Hospital, 1011 West Baltimore Pike, Suite 101, West Grove.
