The Jennersville Regional Cancer Program brings together the professional staff and programs of Jennersville Regional Hospital and the nationally recognized Thomas Jefferson University .

As an affiliated network member, the Jennersville Regional Cancer Program offers our community members access to current, modern-day cancer treatment, innovative research, clinical trials, and powerful outreach programs, once only available at cancer centers far from home.

Services include:

• Cancer registry
• Clinical pharmacy staff with specialized oncology training
• Designated oncology beds within our medical/surgical unit
• Home Services/Home Care Plus
• Hospice Services
• Nutritional counseling
• Oncology social-work services
• Outpatient Chemotherapy services
• Pastoral Care & bereavement counseling

Imaging Services:

• Combined Positron Emission Testing and CT (PET/CT)
• Ultrasound testing
• CAT Scan imaging unit
• Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)

• Bone density
• Nuclear medicine diagnostic testing

The Jennersville Regional Cancer Program also offers community education and support programs to raise awareness and help patients and families cope with the lifestyle changes associated with cancer.

Our community outreach and activities include:

• Cancer Screenings for breast, prostate, oral and skin cancers are offered several times annually
• General Cancer Support Group provides educational information and support on the third Tuesday of each month from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the hospital. For more information, call the Cancer Care Line at 610-869-1396.
• A Breast Cancer Support Group that meets on the fourth Tuesday of the month, September through May, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the Hospital. The sessions offer participants helpful information from caring professionals and the support of others who understand what you're going through.  For more information call the Cancer Care Line at 610-869-1396.
• "Look Good...Feel Better" program sponsored by the American Cancer Society and the National Cosmetics and Toiletry Association meets several times throughout the year
• Local Wig Bank
• "Reach to Recovery" sponsored by the American Cancer Society for women recovering from breast surgery
• Relay for Life event sponsored by the American Cancer Society and held annually in both the Oxford and Kennett Square areas.

As a part of the Jefferson Cancer Network, the Jennersville Regional Cancer Program is a partner in cancer research, prevention, treatment, education and the effort to increase enrollment in clinical trials.

Clinical trials are today's modern studies using drugs, radiation, surgery or other therapies. Trials range from ways to prevent, detect, diagnose and treat cancer to studying the psychological impact of having cancer.
